Bafa’s Fate Up To Home Ministry

The Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (Bafa) has submitted relevant documents to the Registrar of Societies in its bid to reinstate the association after it was disbanded last month.

The appeal was made to the Registrar of Societies and the findings have been forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs to make the final decision, said SAC Hjh Sharifah Salmah Dato Syed Hussein Alkaff, in her capacity as representative of the registrar.

During a press conference acknowledging the football association's appeal at the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) headquarters, she said that it up to the Minister of Home Affairs to decide the fate of Bafa based on the registrar's initial findings as the decidion is not under the registrar's jurisdiction.

Bafa was disbanded by the registrar for failing to submit its annual general meeting report as requested by the society.
