MALL OUTING TURNS TERROR IN MIRI
Three Bruneians who went shopping in Miri last weekend will think twice about going down south again, after becoming victims of an alleged beating outside one of the malls there.
According to a relative, the man and two women were just coming out of their parking spot, when a car came speeding out of nowhere and hit their vehicle. When they came out to confront the driver of the other vehicle and to negotiate what to do next, the four men became violent.
One of the four men went back into their vehicle and rammed their car again twice.

One of the women went into the car and started to honk the horn to attract attention for assistance from passers-by but was dragged out of the car by one of the four men. The Bruneian man was beaten up and the two women were dragged and slapped.

AFTER BONUS, ITS TIME TO GO SHOPPING SPREE
The spending habits of some Bruneians who put forward their wants instead of needs fully played out this month where electrical appliances and car accessory stores unexpectedly reaped the full benefits of the bonus month.

His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in his titah during the monarch's birthday anniversary last year emphasised that the government bonus was released earlier to facilitate parents in purchasing their children's school needs.

However, on the contrary, there are a few individuals who has put forward their wanton needs for flashy gadgets and loud speakers and others, instead of purchasing useful and necessary things or for savings.

A father of four who was purchasing five mobile phones for his children and himself said that he needed them to call his children. The total bill for his purchase stood at $1,280 which he simply shrugged off and paid in cash.
